Wow. It seemed like such a good idea, fondue and Swiss food on a ski weekend, but we experienced more than just terrible food. This place has a cruel side and it was unsettling to say the least. Who ever was responsible for the food on my plate has very little skill, even as a cook, let alone, "world acclaimed chef". We stayed nearby and got an earful from the locals about the folks who own and run Asta's. Some specifics our party of four suffered at dinner, a wait so long it almost became comical, a rude off standing cold hostess who treated us a s though we were something she had stepped on when we inquired about the wait, the food itself, butter, salt and pepper. Actually, the meat and potatoes were ok. Fish is a no no. Cold and tastelesss. The Three Mountain Inn was another story altogether. Although it was pretty pricey, it was memorable and next time we are looking to celebrate this place is absiolutely on our short list.
