Em and I have been close friends since 1993, since long before either of us became the responsible grownups we are today. In that time I've been very fortunate for her ear, shoulder, wit and tenacity, especially at difficult times in my own life. She has a sharp mind, a deeply-felt ethical foundation, and a sense of humor that must be experienced to be appreciated. Em truly is one of gifted few that elevate the rest of us, and I'm grateful and honored to call her a friend.
