We used Novation and Ken in May 2009. I highly recommend this company and Ken. There were no surprises, and no charges for an application or credit check. Mr. Cook is Honest, very knowledgable (with his own talk show), and also gives mortgage advice in a mortgage forum. This is how I found him. The rate we got for an FHA Streamline Refinance was lower than Wells Fargo, Ditech, Quicken, and many others.
I compared about 7-8 rates and 6-7 quotes. Stay clear of Quicken. Ken was easy to reach right away by phone and/or email. The law firm they use is extremely cheap and if you go with Novation, use their firm. I would deal with them again, if I need to ever refinance. What do you have to lose, the quote is free, unlike other companies that charge credit report, application, and other fees. Also, we did not need an appraisal and only $800 for our escrow for the Streamline. Call Ken,, he'll work with you like a broker should. We paind only about a point in fees to Novation, which is great, some brokers charge 1.5 or more in points/fees.
