Review #2844

Brad and I moved to Singapore as high schoolers at approximately the same time and we lived at the same hotel (the Goodwood) and then the same apartment complex with our families. I probably had more fun in the few times we hung out than I did with anyone else I knew that year (my only year overseas).

Although our parents have stayed in touch (this link was forwarded to me by my mother), I'm not much for staying in touch and I haven't seen or spoken with Brad in 26 years, but I wanted to add personal comment to his page: If Brad is anything like the kid he was in high school, he is one of the smartest, kindest, and most talented people I've had the opportunity to know. The brief time I lived in Singapore and knew Brad left a lasting impression on my life and he is the reason I am a musician to this day.

If I were not a musician, I would be a very unhappy person.

I have always regretted not staying in touch with Brad and I am not surprised to learn he is a success in business.

And as an aside, Brad was a better friend to me (and probably everyone in our school he knew) than I was to him because he had something few people acquire before adulthood -- he was compassionate and outgoing -- and I was your typical self-indulgent and thoughtless 17-year old... so Brad? The night I bailed on you at the bus stop? I never apologized for that, and I've always felt sorry... but it was for a girl, man... I had to...

Comment Yeah, I totally understand the girl thing, I'm sure I did my share of that sort of thing, you know. It's really great to hear from you, and to have you write a review like that means a lot.
