Review #2524
Nearly every time I show a guest, friend, or neighbor, the renovation work done on my My Evanston home I mention what a joy it was to have Turley Architects involved in the process. Not only has the knowledge and expertise Chris Turley and his team brought to the design been reflected in the functionality and grace of the finished space, their presence during the construction preserved my fragile grasp on sanity through a live-in remodel. The work has improved resale value of our home as expected. More importantly the quality of advice offered by Turley Architects was critical when translating my family's needs first into clear priorities in design, then a budget and lastly into a work print and production schedule. But Chris was and his team were not done, they stayed with us through some serious bumps with the contractor. While other firms had dismissed our modest investment the no so big house approach allowed Turley to see the value we sought and challenge we faced. We nearly doubled the effective living space in our home without going up or out. Tours of the redesigned space consistently bring stunned looks along to go with remarks along the lines of "how did you think of that?" THe bototm line is I came in with an idea - Turley listened, asked questions, listened some more a gave us what we asked for and more. If I were to use just a few words to describe Turley Architects they would be: competent, confident, compassionate, and ethical. The final proof of the project is the stunning way our collaboration has changed the way my family lives on a day to day basis.
