I met Charles in 1994 at a time when there were only about 10,000 WWW sites on the internet. I desperately wanted to be one of them. Charles was starting an internet company, and we met for lunch. Charles soon discovered that my firm had given me no budget, and I soon discovered that Charles’s internet company consisted of a single computer at the foot of his bed. We laughed, but things looked grim. Charles wanted an air-conditioned server room in a secure building with a nice office and conference room where he could meet clients and investors for his business. I wanted internet access for a room full of brokers, a cutting edge web site and a full time tech person to teach me about all this new technology. In a moment of brilliance that shows we were pioneers of game theory as well as the web, we realized that we each had everything the other wanted. I consider the trade we did that day as one of the finest deals I’ve ever done, and I imagine Charles does too. Were it not for that deal, I’m not sure either of us would be where we are today. Since that day I’ve had the pleasure of watching Charles start and grow several businesses over the years and have always been impressed with his energy and drive. I’ve recommended his services to both friends and family on many occasions. He is a trusted friend and an honorable businessman. I would recommend his services to anyone.
