Review #106
I first met Jennifer Miller in 1999. She was hired to the investment banking firm I worked for as assistant to the CEO. Jen was hand picked for the job by her predecessor, a wickedly smart Wharton Business School MBA who had practically run the company herself. Jen accepted the position and took on her responsibilities without skipping a beat.
Shortly after Jen joined the firm, the company ran into some unexpected financial trouble that would lead to its demise before the next year ended. The corporate world can be a difficult and cutthroat place to be in the best of times, but the true test of character comes through when things get tough. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jen in both good times and bad and I can think of no better person to have by your side during both. Her competence, diligence and caring nature made her the “Go To” person at the top of everyone’s list.
When the investment banking firm closed I recommended Jennifer to another friend of mine who founded and ran the Institute of Thai Massage. Jen not only took over the day to day operation of the institute, but she also became one of the best massage therapists I have ever known. My wife Lisa was a massage therapist for 14 years, and I’ve had more massages than I can count, so I know a good massage when I get one. There is always a noticeable difference between a massage given by someone who enjoys making people feel good and someone who does massage to pay the bills. Jen genuinely cares about her clients and understands all aspects of the art that contribute to its effectiveness. This is rare.
In many ways Jennifer is also one the small circle of friends who inspired the creation of iKarma. The foundation and principals behind iKarma are rooted in our many conversations over the years about ethics, philosophy, religion, politics, human nature and spirituality. Jen is a good friend and a wonderful person to know and do business with. I would recommend her services to anyone. If you are fortunate to have the opportunity to hire Jen, you won’t be disappointed.
