| In 2002 Andrew founded playtxt.net, location based social software and mobile community which he still runs. Andrew's first five years in business were spent as an IT Consultant; clients included Canon, Halifax, SME's and local government institutions. In 1997 he started a web development agency 'worldwidecity.com', the team worked with clients including Deutsche Bank, Freeserve and the Economist. In 2001 the company joined Cambridge Multimedia Group plc. He was also Technical Director and system architect for “DinnerDateAuctions”; one of the very first dating services to utilise interactive SMS with users, as early as 2000. In 2002 worldwidecity.com launched the world’s first online digital news archive. Part Lottery funded it encompassed over 3500 hrs of encoded Pathe media spanning 75 years and 12 million searchable images. Andrew contributes to industry related press and occasionally speaks at public events.
