After attending The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and studying finance, Gary Pagar landed an entry-level role with Merrill Lynch & Co. as an Associate. From 1981 to 1982, Gary Pagar established solid foundations for a lasting career in investment banking with a number of notable successes along the way. At the end of his tenure with Merrill Lynch, Gary Pagar embarked on a three-year period as a Vice President for Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in New York City. With Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., Gary Pagar diversified his expertise in the financial sector and continued to build upon his exemplary professional track record.
Joining the team at Tribeca Capital Resources, Inc. in 1986, Gary Pagar entered the arena of private equity and spent the next six years in various capacities for the firm. As Chairman of the Tribeca Group, Gary Pagar invested in a wide range of growth industries, maintaining portfolio companies with interests in consumer products, retail, aircraft leasing, real estate, and more. Performing as Chairman of Plymouth Lamston Stores Corporation (a Tribeca Group portfolio company) from 1986 to 1991, Gary Pagar brought necessary leadership to the retail chain holding company and oversaw the operations of more than 300 stores nationwide.
More recently, Gary Pagar became Managing Director at Profile Media Group, where he made investments and held executive roles with a number of enterprises in the music and film industries. Notably, Gary Pagar served as Interim Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for an operator live music venues and independent record company during his five years with Profile Media Group. Following a period as Managing Director for Westwood Capital, LLC in New York City, Gary Pagar entered Cappello Group, Inc., an investment banking firm with a global reach. Today, Gary Pagar also serveded as a member of the Trustees' Counsel at the University of Rochester for two terms.
