Real estate professional John K. Norris runs his own commercial firm in La Jolla, California. In the financial services field since 1973, John K. Norris generally worked with clients in construction, chemical manufacturing, distribution, retail, and general manufacturing.
Following his three years with Union Bank, John K. Norris transitioned into the electronics industry, accepting a position with Monitor Labs, Incorporated as treasurer and controller. Responsible for all financial reporting and accounting for the electronics firm, John K. Norris prepared and submitted 10Q and 10K reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission, maintained communication with all departments to properly develop operating budgets, aided the accounting firm with outputting public financial statements, and gave monthly presentations to the Board of Directors.
From Monitor Labs, John K. Norris returned to the real estate realm, becoming Senior Vice President of Real Estate Management for Pacific Southwest Mortgage. John K. Norris' oversight included supervision of 5 million square feet of commercial space for life insurance companies and institutional joint ventures. The properties he managed consisted of retail offices, single- and multi-tenant industrial spaces, medical workplaces, cold storage, and multi-family units.
Subsequently ascending corporate ranks, John K. Norris assumed the critical development roles of other companies, and later established J.K. Norris and Company/Del Sol Capital Partners, LLC. Currently presiding as principal of the latter company, John K. Norris runs day-to-day activities of the La Jolla commercial real estate firm. John K. Norris negotiates contracts, makes financial projections, coordinates architects and engineers, and arranges vendor contracts to ensure all properties are well managed and maintained. John K. Norris presently resides in La Jolla, California with his family.
