Boasting more than 25 years of combined experience as a firefighter, medic, and police officer, Edward Dadosky currently serves as the District Fire Chief of the Cincinnati Fire Department. Joining the organization in 1984, Edward Dadosky exhibited a marked dedication to protecting the community, functioning as a paramedic for over a decade. In this capacity, Edward Dadosky dealt with a wide variety of emergency situations, experience he continues to utilize in his daily duties as District Fire Chief. In 2001, Edward Dadosky successfully completed his Police Academy training and was commissioned as an Ohio Peace Officer. Two years later, Edward Dadosky was named Coordinator of the local Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS), a grant program that provides resources to plan for and respond to terrorist incidents or public health emergencies. That same year, Edward Dadosky was presented with the opportunity to work with the National Atmospheric Release Advisory Center (NARAC) at the University of California’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Functioning as a Project Officer for the Cincinnati area, Edward Dadosky assisted NARAC in its mission to provide federal, state, and local governments with safe solutions in the event that a hazardous material is accidentally or intentionally released into the atmosphere. Analyzing data in order to strategize emergency response procedures, Dadosky focused primarily on atmospheric air plume dispersion modeling, preparing the city to take protective action in the case of a nuclear, chemical, or biological threat to public health and safety. Since 2003, Edward Dadosky has maintained numerous public safety leadership positions. In 2004, Edward Dadosky became the Project Officer for the Cincinnati-Hamilton County Regional Emergency Operations Center. Also a member of the Hamilton County Emergency Management Executive Committee since 2004, Edward Dadosky took on managerial duties at the county’s Regional Operations Center in 2007. In addition to these accomplishments, Edward Dadosky chose to pursue graduate coursework in Security Studies, earning his M.A. from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2010.
