Robert Cornish’s entire life has been about achieving the highest level of performance. First it was for his own competing on the race track driving a racing car - with the burning desire to be the fastest driver on the track (a feat he accomplished many times). Then it was having other race drivers achieve greater success. Now it is having other people achieve that same kind of high performance in their business and personal lives.
A lifetime of focusing on achievement and high performance has led Robert to understand that the level of being inspired determines the level of performance and success people achieve.
As a youngster imagining being a race car driver inspired Robert. That inspiration carried him through situations that were otherwise emotionally stressful and unhappy; ultimately this inspiration led him into becoming an outstanding racecar driver.
Robert holds auto racing as a metaphor for living. The act of driving a racing car at very high speeds compels you to be, at the same time, fully present in the moment, knowing where you are headed, and being committed to that purpose. All are elements necessary for being and feeling fully alive!
While Inspiration comes from within, it is triggered by the imagination, spurred from what we experience from other people. Most particularly inspiration is nurtured by how other people relate to and treat one another.
That is Robert’s work - to INSPIRE, to elicit the level of performance that can only come from being inspired. He does this by creating the kind of relationships and business cultures that generate inspiration. The passion for auto racing that so inspired Robert now exists for him in his coaching profession and in the growth and development of Infinability the company he founded and operates as CEO.
Robert personally works with business owners and CEO’s who are drawn to or are inspired by sports like auto racing; visionary leaders who seek to achieve the highest level of performance for themselves and from those around them in their business. Robert inspires his clients to reach the kind of performance that energizes effortless high-five-ing success and joy in their work, who then in turn inspire the same from the people they lead.
In fifteen years of performance coaching, Robert has continually sought new knowledge from his profession. Besides being a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (he trained with and was certified by the founders of Co-Active Coaching and The Coaches training Institute), he is certified at the Master Certified Coach level by The International Coach Federation. He was among the first group of professional coaches to be recognized at the Master level by the ICF. Robert has also completed the year long Co-Active leadership training program, and he is actively involved in furthering Co-Active leadership in the world as a member of the steering committee of the non-profit organization The CALL (Co-Active Leaders Link).
What differentiates Robert and Infinability from other performance coaching and training companies is his combination of methodologies that pertain to tapping into the subconscious and intuitive mind as it relates to learning and performance. Robert has studied and incorporated the work of pioneers in this arena. Most significantly the work of Kurt Wright author of the book “Breaking the Rules Overcoming the Obstacles to Effortless High Performance” http://clearpurpose.com, Tim Gallwey author of several “Inner Game of…” books, and Rob Williams originator of Psych-k (Psychological kinesiology) and Per-k (Performance kinesiology) the most efficient method for reprogramming limiting subconscious beliefs Robert has found.
