Throughout his life and career, financial services manager Matthew Norris has maintained involvement in a vast array of academic, professional, charitable, and personal endeavors. As an undergraduate at Claremont McKenna College from August 1992 through May 1996, Matthew Norris studied various topics in finance and economics, ultimately graduating with a B.A. Moving north to San Francisco after graduation, Matthew Norris secured entry-level work with Banc of America Securities, LLC as a Corporate Finance Analyst in the Middle Market Group. Following 16 months in this position, Matthew Norris became an Associate in the Private Capital Group at OffRoad Capital, Inc., spending two years on various private equity transactions for portfolio companies in the high-tech sector. From there, Matthew Norris joined Comdisco Ventures, Inc. as a Portfolio Manager and continued to build his experience in private equity and venture capital. Gaining entry to the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business, Matthew Norris improved his understanding of the world of finance and business. In 2005, Matthew Norris earned his M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business and spent a brief period as a Finance Associate in the MBA Development Program at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc. before returning to California. Since then, Matthew Norris has fulfilled the role of Finance and Project Manager at Spindrift Partners, Inc., where he works on build-to-suit commercial real estate leases for the General Services Administration. Aside from his work at Spindrift Partners, Inc., Matthew Norris participates in a broad range of charitable activities in the community and beyond. Volunteering his time and energy to the Salvation Army, Sierra del Mar Division, Matthew Norris served as a Financial Consultant in order to develop strategies for creating greater efficiencies at the Salvation Army's Wildwood Ranch, a nature and learning camp for at-risk children. Matthew Norris also donates his time to Mama’s Kitchen, an organization which prepares and delivers food to men, women, and children who are affected by AIDS and cancer in and around the greater San Diego metropolitan area. In addition, Matthew Norris has made contributions to Genesis International Orphanage Foundation and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of San Diego. In his free time, Matthew Norris enjoys such recreational pursuits as classical guitar, travel, mountain biking, and surfing. An avid reader as well, Matthew Norris counts Michael Lewis, Joseph Heller, Alexandre Dumas, and Frederick Forsyth among his favorite authors. Along with his wife and daughter, Matthew Norris lives in San Diego, California.
