A graduate of Rockhurst University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld continued his education at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, earning a Doctor of Medicine in 1991. Upon graduation, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld was accepted as an intern at the Baylor College of Medicine under cardiothoracic research fellow Michael DeBakey, M.D. Dr. Daniel Theesfeld subsequently completed his residency in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. In January 1995, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld was granted a fellowship at the Longview Pain Care Association, where he became an expert in pain moderation. The following year, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld opened a comprehensive pain management practice, The Pain Management Center of Texas, in Nacogdoches. Since the establishment of his first office, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld has opened two separate branches in Fort Worth and Longview.
Through The Pain Management Center of Texas, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld provides personalized services to patients with pain disorders, utilizing cutting-edge techniques in a comfortable, state-of-the-art office. Currently operating the center's Fort Worth and Longview branches, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld travels between the two offices to work directly with patients, accurately diagnosing disorders and custom-tailoring his treatments. Focusing on innovation, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld was the first physician in the United States to successfully complete a percutaneous laser discectomy in an office setting, a new technique for treating contained herniated discs. Dr. Daniel Theesfeld also performs trigger point injections, knee point injections, epidural steroid injections, selective nerve injections, radiofrequency nerve treatments, spinal cord stimulation, and vertebroplasty.
In addition to serving as the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of The Pain Management Center of Texas, Dr. Daniel Theesfeld functions as the Medical Director of the National Training Center for LASE Endoscopic Discectomy and as an Advisory Board Member for Integrated Health Technology.
