Dr. Christopher Boshkos, an accomplished nephrology expert, has served as a founding partner of Northeast Ohio Nephrology Associates, Inc. (NEONA, Inc.) in Akron, Ohio, since 1987. Dr. Christopher Boshkos is also an active clinician at the Summa Health System Hospitals, Department of Internal Medicine and the Akron General Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Christopher Boshkos has sat on several hospital committees and administrative panels. Dr. Christopher Boshkos has been a member of the Summa Health System Hospitals Institutional Review Board, as well as the Medical Review Board for Dialysis and Transplantation. Dr. Christopher Boshkos also contributed to the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy Nephrology Subcouncil and sits on the Board of Directors for the HealthCare Underwriters Group Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio.
From 1994 until 2007, Dr. Christopher Boshkos was active with LifeBanc, a nonprofit, government mandated organization, based in Cleveland that assists in the procurement and distribution of organs for transplantation. Dr. Christopher Boshkos served as the Chair of the LifeBanc Board Development Committee repeatedly over the years. Additionally, Dr. Christopher Boshkos acted as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees for 1996 and 1997 and the President from 2004 until 2006.
Involved in educational initiatives since his residency, Dr. Christopher Boshkos served as an instructor in internal medicine at the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy from 1983 to 1984 and as an instructor in nephrology at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1984 to 1986. Dr. Christopher Boshkos currently holds the title of Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM).
A member of the Renal Physicians Association, the American Society of Nephrology, the Ohio State Medical Association, and the International Transplant Society, Dr. Christopher Boshkos has served as a White Coat Internship Mentor at the Summa Health System and has been a member of the Macedonian Businessmen's Club, Akron Chapter, and AHEPA, a Greek-American organization.
