Nancy L. Reye, CPA, MD, has received numerous honors and awards, including the Priority Health Award for Exceptional Patient Care in 2008 and the Beaumont Hospital Family Practice Residency’s Behavioral Sciences Award in 2001. Nancy Reye served as a Certified Public Accountant between 1989 and 1991 at Plante & Moran, PLLC., a public accounting and consulting firm. A couple of years later Nancy Reye changed courses in her career path by attending medical school. After completing her medical degree, Dr. Nancy Reye was employed as a Board Certified Family Practice Physician first at Elk Rapids Family Practice and second at West Front Primary Care in Traverse City, Michigan, where she also functioned as Chief Financial Officer of the group practice. Dr. Nancy Reye is currently practicing medicine in Bloomington, Indiana, at Ellettsville Family Practice. Dr. Nancy Reye gives presentations to the community on cardiovascular health, among other topics. Dr. Nancy Reye takes a particular interest in children and addresses nutrition for elementary school children in her talks. She believes strongly in preventive medicine and considers nutrition and exercise of paramount importance. Nancy Reye was an honors recipient at Kalamazoo College, where she graduated cum laude in 1987 with a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration. Her Minor in International Commerce led her to study accounting at the Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration, where she obtained a Master of Science in Professional Accountancy (MSPA) and successfully passed the CPA Examination. Nancy Reye entered the medical profession after completing her M.D. at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1998, followed by her Family Practice residency, which she completed at Beaumont Hospital in 2001.
