For over a decade, Dr. Steve Ams has applied his expertise across a multitude of industries toward heading Global Interests, LLC. Maintaining an overarching goal of driving change to make the world a better place, Steve Ams helped establish Global Interests to accomplish many humanitarian feats. The company’s divisions include Global Real Estate; Global Financial Investments; Global Medical; Global Drilling, Fluids, Equipment, & Supplies; Global Humanitarian Services; Global Marine & Supplies; Global Mining & Materials; and Global Oil & Gas. As Global Interests’ CEO, Steve Ams oversees all aspects of personnel, resources, policy initiatives, and project vision. In addition to his business endeavors, Steve Ams serves on the Mayor of Houston, Texas’ International Development Council for Africa as its elected Chairman. Steve Ams regularly utilizes his expertise to advocate for change in his community. Integral to creating jobs within Houston, Steve Ams led the largest multidenominational career fairs in Houston’s history, which created over 5,000 jobs and helped employ over 1,000 people on the spot. Steve Ams also led community outreach endeavors for Hurricane Katrina victims and for victims of the Haiti earthquake. Steve Ams matriculated at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, where he earned his pre-medical degree. Committed to academic excellence, Steve Ams next attended Nigeria’s University of Calabar, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. After relocating to the United States, Steve Ams shifted his focus to theology, obtaining a Master’s degree in Theology from the Houston Graduate School of Theology. When he is not working, Steve Ams enjoys reading the Bible and various medical and financial books.
