[04/05/2013] A graduate of the Philippines’ De La Salle University-Manila, Jose Expedito Garcia was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree, major in Political Science, during the 80's. As an undergraduate student at De La Salle University-Manila, Mr. Garcia served as Editor-in-Chief of a student publication while being on the Dean’s Honor List. Jose Expedito Garcia graduated from the Ateneo de Manila Law School and was ranked 17th among over 5,000 examinees taking the Philippine Bar Examinations in 1990. Jose Expedito Garcia was also admitted (by examination) to the New York State Bar and Maryland State Bar in 1995 and 1997, respectively. While in law school, Jose Expedito Garcia joined a fraternity dedicated to upholding excellence in the law, the Fraternal Order of Utopia.
During the 90's, Jose Expedito Garcia served as an editor and contributor for a U.S.-based publication dealing with minority concerns, the Filipino-American Star. Drawing upon his expertise as a former immigration lawyer, Jose Expedito Garcia wrote articles about U. S. immigration law.
Continuing to write about a number of topics including current social and political issues, Jose Expedito Garcia maintains a lively and topical blog. Jose Expedito Garcia is a long-time fan of baseball (Baltimore Orioles) and enjoys reading and playing the guitar in his free time.
