In his role as Hearing Officer at National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) in New York City, attorney and former judge John DiBlasi upholds the highest professional and ethical standards. He has an AV Preeminent peer rating for ethical standards and legal ability, the highest rating given by Martindale Hubbell in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Litigation. A former justice of the New York State Supreme Court and a veteran of the alternative dispute resolution field, John DiBlasi has performed duties as a mediator and arbitrator in numerous matters of civil law, including business/commercial, employment, labor, environmental, entertainment, personal injury, and medical malpractice cases. Initially joining National Arbitration and Mediation in 2005, John DiBlasi spent one year as a Hearing Officer before leaving to serve as Chief of Staff for the City of Mount Vernon. John DiBlasi returned to National Arbitration and Mediation in 2009 following a one-year stint as Deputy Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services. Prior to joining National Arbitration and Mediation, John DiBlasi worked as a litigator for the White Plains, New York law firm of Clark, Gagliardi & Miller. John DiBlasi came to Clark, Gagliardi & Miller after spending nearly 10 years as a Justice of the Supreme Court of New York, where he presided over cases related to commerce, personal injury, land use and other areas of civil law. Prior to this, John DiBlasi was a Judge of the City Court of Mount Vernon, and served in the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 1990 to 1998, retiring as a Captain. John DiBlasi was a member of the Westchester County Public Employment Relations Board, held a partnership in the law firm of Pizzitola & DiBlasi for eight years, and was an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pace University School of Law.
