Dr. Misako McLeod, podiatric surgeon, has trained at numerous teaching hospitals and medical centers around the nation acquiring specialized knowledge and skills in the field of foot and ankle surgery. Recently returning from an AO fellowship in Switzerland where she trained under Dr. Kaj Klaue, she is currently available to see new patients.
Dr. Misako McLeod’s past positions include Staff Surgeon for Kaiser Permanente’s Santa Rosa medical Center, where she instructed second- and third-year residents in foot and ankle surgery, and Chief Resident at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, a three-year foot and ankle surgical program. Dr. Misako McLeod has completed advanced training in the utilization of external fixation for correction of complex foot and ankle deformities at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas and the Chicago Deformity Correction Center. Outside of her professional duties, Dr. Misako McLeod has volunteered at several charity events, including serving on the medical crew of an Avon Breast Cancer Walk and working at St. Mary’s Medical Center’s Cherry Blossom Festival and Health Fair, held each spring. Dr. Misako McLeod has also volunteered her professional services to some of San Francisco’s homeless shelters, where she provides free foot and ankle care for the residents.
