| Kyba Thai balances a career in finance with classes at New York University (NYU). Outside of the classroom, Kyba Thai serves in multiple capacities as an investment banking associate for Hayfield Capital. Kyba Thai contributes to the sales, investment banking, and research divisions at the firm. Kyba Thai further conducts valuations, drafts transaction contracts, presents vital information to clients, and fosters relationships with high-net worth investors. Kyba Thai first gained exposure to New York's financial community as a high school intern with JP Morgan Chase in Global Equities Division. Kyba Thai collaborated with the Vice President to launch JP Morgan's industry database MorganMarkets. During the internship, Kyba Thai also gathered, synthesized, and presented information about industry types in order to help issue reliable and credible stock recommendations. With additional assessment of future returns on stock, Kyba Thai analyzed annual financial reports, quarterly reports, SEC filings, and press releases. While attending Boston College's Carroll School of Management, where he initially pursued his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Kyba Thai served as a marketing intern with Carat USA. At the New York-based marketing agency, Kyba Thai worked with the Media Communications Planning Coordinator, leveraging his technological insight to foster information exchange between high profile corporations and consumers. Kyba Thai helped plan and strategize campaigns for a variety of major clients, including Colgate, Pfizer, and Hyundai. In 2008, Kyba Thai's analytical and financial talents earned him a prop trading position at Davis Securities in Manhattan. Covering the energy, technology, and telecommunication sectors, Kyba Thai also produced weekly equity reports on high return investments for the chief portfolio manager.
