Dr. Dietmar Hein serves as the Head of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics’ global e-commerce initiatives and is a member of the Board of Directors of Global Healthcare Exchange. Dr. Hein joined his current employer in 1997 when it was Dade Diagnostics, and in the subsequent decade, he witnessed several crucial shifts in corporate structure. Mr. Dietmar Hein manifests professional loyalty to his company during the acquisition of Behring to become Dade Behring Inc, successful escape from pre-packaged Chapter 11 and conversion to being publicly owned, and acquisition by Siemens in 2007. During this time he assumed several positions with growing global responsibility. For the past 18 months, Dr. Dietmar Hein has led the integration of all e-commerce operations, a task that unites the systems of Dade Behring, Bayer Diagnostics, and DPC. In this capacity, Dr. Dietmar Hein holds responsibility for both technical integration activities and the optimization of the process. Dr. Dietmar Hein drove Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics to achieve e-commerce ingress of over 50% applicable volume and currently works with automating processes of the cost-per-result business. Dietmar Hein designs and develops original concepts for Siemens’ customer supply chain management, a cost-effective solution that will continue long-term customer satisfaction. Due to his experience in the industry, Dr. Dietmar Hein was chosen in 2008 to represent Siemens at the Board of Directors of Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX). Dr. Hein’s experience in the IVD area derives from his tenure in sales, global marketing, and information technology operations. Mr. Dietmar Hein obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Münster, Germany. Additionally, Dietmar Hein holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Paderborn, Germany.
