Combining years of executive experience in the healthcare industry with an impressive aptitude for strategic management, Mr. Tom McNaull brings a considerable skill set to his current role as the Chairman and CEO of MedStar Partners, LLC. Founded by Mr. McNaull and his partners in 2007, MedStar Partners works with acute care hospitals in implementing creative solutions to complex operational and financial management issues. Tom McNaull founded MedStar Partners after 14 years of leading AMT Group, Inc. (American MedTrust). Serving as American MedTrust’s President and CEO, Tom McNaull successfully initiated the company’s acquisition of numerous hospitals throughout the country. Over one 3-year period, Tom McNaull effectively increased American MedTrust’s annual revenues from $15 million to over $100 million.
Prior to establishing American MedTrust, Tom McNaull served as the President of Information Systems and the Vice President of the Hospital Division for Charter Medical Corporations (CMC) in Macon, Georgia. In this position, Tom McNaull managed the financial operations of over 100 company-owned hospitals and successfully initiated the establishment or acquisition of 37 hospitals. Prior to accepting his dual roles, Tom McNaull held multiple positions at CMC, including Controller of Hospital Operations, Division Controller, Associate Administrator of Shallowford Community Hospital, and Director of Finance at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tom McNaull began his career in medical management with Hospital Corporation of America. Initially hired as an Assistant Controller for the Humana Hospital of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida, Tom McNaull quickly demonstrated his impressive managerial abilities, becoming Chief Financial Officer of Rockdale Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Tom McNaull next became Associate Administrator and Chief Financial Officer of Coral Reef Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Highly educated, Tom McNaull received his BA in Accounting from the University of Florida and his MBA from Emory University. Tom McNaull also studied executive management at the Harvard Business School and is a member of the HBS Health Industry Alumni Association.
