| Ms. Ava Dorrance possesses over 20 years of professional social work experience. Most recently, Ava Dorrance served as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Cass County Community Hospital. In this role, Ava Dorrance provided therapy to individuals, groups, and families. Specializing in working with children, Ava Dorrance developed a full-day program for behaviorally disordered children. Additionally, Ava Dorrance served as a counselor for Atlantic schools. Today, Ava Dorrance devotes her energies to caring for her parents. Ava Dorrance matriculated at the University of Iowa, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Art and Museum Science. Ava Dorrance later returned to her alma mater to obtain her Master of Social Work. In her limited spare time, Ava Dorrance enjoys a variety of hobbies, including watching movies, reading, hiking, traveling, and writing. Ava Dorrance also maintains an active role within her community, where she is involved in several charitable endeavors. Ava Dorrance has prepared meals for those in need through her church and is active in several functions of the Scott County YMCA, including projects designed to provide funding for its daycare program.
