Growing up in Chicago, Robert G. Rich was surrounded by people in the building trades. At a young age, Rob Rich learned to read blueprints and estimated building costs. After a job which included writing structure estimates for insurance companies, he worked for 20 years with large public adjusting firms because he saw how insurance companies took shortcuts and underpaid claims.
