An expert in educational administration and a vocal proponent of online learning, Dr. Nick Trombetta brings a wealth of educational experience to his current position at the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School. Trombetta helped build the cutting edge public school and oversaw the development of PA Cyber personally. Recently, Dr. Trombetta initiated the construction and opening of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, a state of the art learning and performing annex that houses the Henry Mancini Arts Academy and Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. The cultural complex also houses the physical offices of the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School. Dr. Trombetta played a key role in bringing the cutting edge campus to western Pennsylvania.
Before serving as Chief Executive Officer of PA Cyber, Nick Trombetta was a teacher, coach and superintendent in the public school system. A man of letters, Dr. Nick Trombetta enjoys reading educational and managerial tomes, as well as novels by Peter Senge and John Grisham. The Fifth Discipline, Who Moved My Cheese, Visionary Leadership and Our Iceberg Is Melting are some of the most influential books Dr. Trombetta has read. Apart from reading, his other hobbies include skiing and travel.
Dr. Trombetta attended the University of Pittsburgh for his doctoral studies and he holds a Doctorate of Education Administration. Prior to his matriculation at Pitt, Nick Trombetta took his Masters of Education Administration from Dayton University in Dayton, Ohio. For his undergraduate work, Dr. Trombetta took classes in Education at Slippery Rock State University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. Quigley Catholic High School counts Dr. Trombetta as a proud alumnus.
