Timothy Rosio is a Physician at and the Director of AnewSKIN. Located in El Dorado Hills, California, AnewSKIN is a private dermatology and dermasurgery practice that combines medical, cosmetic, reconstructive, and med-spa treatments to provide a comprehensive range of services. Dr. Rosio was formerly a teaching faculty member with Dr. Frederick Mohs (inventor of Mohs Surgery) and assistant professor of dermatology at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Rosio was responsible for the Cosmetic, Laser, and Skin Surgery Program, and Mohs skin cancer treatment lab at the UC Davis Medical Center Department of Dermatology.
Timothy Rosio graduated from the University of Arizona in 1976 after studying Biological Sciences on a pre-medical track, receiving his Bachelor of Science diploma with High Distinction. While an undergrad in the Tucson school, Tim joined the Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-medical honorary society, as well as Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Concurrently, he worked his way through school nights and weekends as an ambulance attendant paramedic and Emergency Room assistant.
Upon graduation, Timothy began working toward his M.D. at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Over the subsequent three years, he represented his class for preparation for clinical medicine and joined Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical school honorary fraternity consisting of the top 5-10% of the class. In 1979, he was awarded a Preceptorship in Anesthesiology at San Diego’s Mercy Hospital and, later that year, received the Arizona Health Sciences Center Study Award. During his medical studies, Dr. Rosio was afforded the opportunity to take an elective course in Dermatology at The London Institute of Dermatology and St. John's Hospital for Diseases of the Skin, one of world's premier dermatology centers.
