| Christopher Pizzo is a survivor who has lived through some of life’s toughest situations. Not only is Chris Pizzo a survivor of atypical seminoma cancer, he is also a survivor of a vicious road rage incident in which he and his wife were almost killed. The traumatic event changed Chris Pizzo’s life forever. A talented man holding many different honors and medals in a variety of disciplines of fighting, including Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai, Chris Pizzo learned the hard way that martial arts are not the most effective self-defense method. With this fresh epiphany in mind, Chris Pizzo set out to find the best way to protect himself and his family. Chris Pizzo found the answer when he discovered Close Combat Training. Close Combat Training, a method using simple moves rather than showy ones to fight off an attacker, is the best method Chris Pizzo found that would enable individuals to protect themselves and their families. Dedicated to helping others learn Close Combat Training, Chris Pizzo started his own business, Close Combat Company, LLC, of which he is both the President and Chief Instructor. As President, Chris Pizzo oversees every aspect of marketing, public relations, and business growth. In 1998, Chris Pizzo earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from William Paterson University. Due to his avid interest in business, Chris Pizzo was a member of the fraternity Tau Phi Beta. Chris Pizzo keeps his skills sharp by continuing to be extremely involved in organizations pertaining to his business, including being a Board Member of the National Association of Professional Martial Artists. In his limited spare time, Chris Pizzo enjoys athletic activities, such as working out, surfing, and practicing martial arts. Furthermore, Chris Pizzo loves movies, video games, and reading books such as “Rogue Warrior,” “Gates of Fire,” and “No B.S. Business Success.” Chris Pizzo currently resides in New Jersey with his family.
