With over 20,000 hours of safe flying to over 50 countries, Bill Strait is an experienced pilot with a passion for aviation. One of his main goals is to promote private and business private jet ownership. To help accomplish his objective, Mr. Strait founded Private Jet Group International, Inc. in June of 2006. His company provides private jet insurance, financing, and aviation consulting. Often being quoted as saying, “We are creating something that has never been done before,” Mr. Strait is making sure his company is creating and accomplishing innovative goals in aviation.
In addition to acting as CEO of Private Jet Group International, Inc, Bill Strait is the creator and editor of the online publication “Private Jet Magazine” (www.privatejetmag.com), a magazine that focuses on the latest news, information, and interviews from the top executives of the industry regarding very light jets (VLJs), personal jets, microjets, and personal light jets (PLJs). Due to innovations in green operations and improved fuel efficiency, private jet ownership is on the rise, and Mr. Strait wants to do everything he can to help new owners streamline the process of expediting new jet selection, purchase, and operations.
Mr. Strait is a member of several organizations devoted to aviation and pilots, including the National Business Aviation Association, an organization that strives to enhance safety, security, and professionalism, as well as shape public policy in business aviation both nationally and internationally. Additionally, he has written articles for the FAA, the NBAA, and “Million Air Magazine” and has had speaking engagements with the Royal Aeronautical Society, the World Aviation Training Symposium, and the World Air Taxi Conference.
Mr. Strait is a proud graduate of the University of the State of New York, where he attained his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
