With more than 20 years as an experienced Otolaryngologist, commonly known as an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist, Dr. Sigsbee Duck has developed an impressive reputation as a highly skilled and immensely respected physician. A proven expert in his field, Dr. Duck has shown considerable leadership abilities as a high ranking member of several important Otolaryngological organizations and as a published author of several scientific papers, being awarded an Honorable Mention for his Triological Thesis work in 1997. Over the past eleven years, Dr. Sigsbee Duck has put his skills to use as a much admired physician for the Gillette, Wyoming, private practice of Sagebrush Ear, Nose and Throat until its sale in July, 2008. Dr. Duck currently practices through the Pinehurst Surgical Clinic in Pinehurst, NC.
A graduate of the East Carolina University School of Medicine, Dr. Sigsbee Duck first earned his medical degree in 1981. A talented and highly driven student, Dr. Duck transferred his success into a general surgery internship at the Kentucky Medical Center. Following his experience as an intern, Dr. Sigsbee Duck became a resident physician at Emory University from 1982 until 1986, with his final year being marked by his appointment as Chief Resident. During this time, Dr. Sigsbee Duck learned a great deal about the field of Otolaryngology and carried that knowledge into his next role as a private practitioner where he’s worked ever since.
Never content to rest on his laurels, however, Dr. Sigsbee Duck has spent a great deal of time over his career working to advance the science behind Otolaryngology and become an even greater expert in the field. As a member of the Triological Society, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), and the Wyoming Medical Society, amongst several others, Dr. Sigsbee Duck has shown a tremendous ability to safely integrate approved new medical techniques and technology to continually improve patient care.
Outside of his work, Dr. Sigsbee Duck is a passionate supporter of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. A proud alumnus of Wake Forest, Dr. Sigsbee Duck has taken the enthusiasm he had as the former mascot of the school into his adult life as a former president of the High Point, N.C., Chapter of the Wake Forest Alumni Association.
