Educated at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, George Graffy earned his B.S. in Economics in 1986. He then graduated from the Wharton School of the University Of Pennsylvania in 1986 and received his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University in 1989. Following graduation, Mr. Graffy was employed in the marketing departments of some of the most well-known consumer brands in the United States and the world, including Yum! Brands (the corporation behind such popular fast food chains as KFC, Pizza, Hut and Taco Bell), Clorox, and PepsiCo.
In 1998, George Graffy took a position with Smart Circle International, becoming president of the company in 2003. Smart Circle International is a direct sales and referral marketing program which is available in over 20 countries worldwide, including the US, Canada, The United Kingdom, and Japan. The premise behind Smart Circle International is using community marketing networks to distribute discounts on popular products and services specifically tailored to each community.
Since its inception in 1989, Smart Circle International has quickly earned the reputation of being the most comprehensive referral marketing program of its kind. George Graffy has also helped to empower field representatives to take a more active approach with customer service and helped to pioneer an innovative community marketing network that incorporates public and private sales with a diverse array of fundraising organizations.
