| For the last 30 years, James Raphalian has been making a significant impact in the finance industry. Raphalian attended Penn State University from 1963 to 1968, where he received his B.S. degree in accounting. From 2002 to 2007, Raphalian worked at Schwab Capital Markets, an affiliate of Charles Schwab, as the firm’s Senior Vice President and Head of Institutional Sales in New York City. Raphalian's responsibilities included all sales, research sales, sales trading and services to institution groups. Raphalian increased business fourfold while at Schwab Capital Markets. From 1998 to 2002, Raphalian worked with SG Cowen Securities Corporation, where he increased revenues five fold in their sales and NASDAQ trading department. Prior to SG Cowen Securities Corporation, Raphalian served in various institutional sales and trading positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, UBS PaineWebber and Prudential Securities. Raphalian has appeared on numerous television and radio programs over years, including CNBC, CNN and Bloomberg. Raphalian is a member of SANY, The Security Traders Association of New York, which is an affiliate of the Security Traders Association, a worldwide professional trade organization for equities traders. STANY is the largest Security Traders Association affiliate with over 1,500 members in the Tri-state area that represent over 300 trading desks. Retiring from Schwab in 2007, Raphalian continues to volunteer for local New Jersey charities. Raphalian is a member of the National Organization of Investment Professionals and is an active member of the CARES foundation. On June 17, 2006, Raphalian ran a fundraiser with the CARES foundation, raising over $117,000 for CARES and for CAH research. Raphalian continues to provide ongoing financial advice to the organization. Raphalian was also a member of the Saint Jude committee in 2006. Raphalian is on the dinner committee of The ARC of Essex County, a private non-profit agency that serves people with developmental disabilities who live in and around Essex County.
