At New England Ballet Theatre our mission is to provide the highest caliber of dance training while enhancing the student's appreciation for the performing arts. Students will have a well rounded dance education while simultaneously discovering their own artistic identity. Each level has been carefully designed so every dancer has the opportunity to learn and understand the execution of proper dance technique. At NEBT we nurture and foster the love of dance in each individual student. Through challenging training we can produce the highest quality dancer with an unequaled standard of excellence.
In the beginning of Courtney’s career as a dancer she danced and taught for several years on and off Cape Cod, including with Debra Smith Pinkney and Ballet New England. Courtney attended Dean College School of Dance where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with honors, along with an A.A. in Psychology. Courtney has extensive performance experience on Cape Cod as well as performing with the Dean Dance Company all four years of her college career. She had also been a company member with the Spindle City Ballet for 2 years. She has performed corps and solo work in the following productions: Stars and Stripes, Serenade, The Nutcracker, The Doll Maker, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, La Source, Le Grande Tarantella, Pas De Quatre, Rhamonda, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, The Magic Flute, Alice in Wonderland, The Princess and the Pea, Snow White, Through the Spindle, The Dance Extravaganza (performing with Maurice Hines, AC Ciulla, Derek Grant, and JT Jenkins) the musical, “On Your Toes” and many more. Courtney has had extensive performing experience in various types of dance including; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, African dance, Haitian dancing, and modern. Opening a new establishment to help young dancers feed their passion for dancing has been Courtney’s most challenging and fulfilling dance encounter yet.
