Timothy Munro Roberts has founded and led several companies based on his own pioneering technological designs and inventions. Roberts’ first major business endeavor began in 1995, when he founded the St. Louis-based Savvis Communications Corp., an internetworking services provider that grew from a clever piece of tech design that Roberts created, which eventually became the first DS-3 “PNAP” network of its kind. Savvis is the 3rd largest data communication carrier in the world today and employs over 4000.
Soon after he started Savvis Communications, Timothy Roberts created the Netsourcing service provider Intira Corp. Roberts built Intira Corp upon another one of his unique ideas. Not only did Roberts create the initial design for the business to rest upon, he led the powerful company as CEO and Chief Technology Officer.
Timothy Roberts has extensive experience from both sides of the business life, from the initial startup stage and raw thought processes, to the actual day-to-day management and running of company operations, which has helped him become an important industry figure.
Roberts’ abilities have not gone unnoticed; in addition to building up his own personal business ventures, he also serves in a variety of consulting positions, where he can share his expertise and help other companies achieve the success that he has enjoyed over the years. Timothy Roberts began consulting work for CEOSAVVY in 2005. As Managing Director at CEOSAVVY, Roberts consults the company and initiates important business advisory, using his impressive cache of business knowledge to counsel the financial services firm on a variety of issues.
Due to his impressive career in business and the young age at which he completed many of his accomplishments, Timothy Roberts was awarded the Saint Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, as well as the 30 Under 30 Award. The technological designs that Roberts completed for Savvis were also honored. Roberts’ patented PNAP layer 3 network routing design was rated number one out of all major providers by Keynote Systems and Boardwatch magazine.
