In 2002 when I began researching home based businesses, I was disappointed with all of the websites I came across. I was hoping for that dream come true to fall in my lap and overnight all of my worries would just vanish. The dream of millions I’m sure, and like millions, a dream that was not to come to fruition.
One of the things that I noticed almost immediately was that the few Wahm resource websites that were online at that time had very little information on them. It was that realization that led me to WahmsUnited.com, which was the first website I founded, and it’s still online today. Though it has evolved many times over the time it’s been online, it is now one of the oldest wahm resource websites on the net today. In its latest reincarnation, WU is now a Social Networking Community, where members can register for free and create their own user profiles, interact with fellow wahms via guestbooks, forums and groups. I’d love to encourage you to stop in for a visit!
I started not really knowing anything about the internet, other than how to surf websites which began my other career of being a self-proclaimed geek lol. I love technology and learning knew software and technologies and the one main thing I had going for me was my ability to learn programs and software quickly and easily. My former boss commented on this ability more than once during my ten years with him.
Though I first started out where many others do, using a free website builder (Geocities I believe it was), I quickly found out that I wanted to learn all there was to know about creating my own website with my own domain name. It started with a basic 3 column html template and a free html editor. I mastered HTML in a relatively short time period and the rest shall we say, is history.
Since that time I’ve moved into website hosting, website designing, website maintenance, script installations and more importantly, consulting and home business coaching.
My mission has always been to help Work At Home Moms build their own successful home based businesses, and to continually learn in order to bring new knowledge and experiences to my clients.
