About My Photography:
My name is Laura McCarthy and I am the owner of Down the Lane Photo. Although I have been in business just over 3 years, I have loved taking photos as long as I remember. I would describe my style as storytelling. I prefer not to pose but to catch people reflected as they are or with only light suggestions.
I use a Cannon 40 D with a IS 28-135 and IS 17-85 mm lens.
My shoots encompass a wide variety of portraits from very casual to more formal as I try to reflect the people I photograph. I take photos of the moments in a lifetime: Pregnancy, New Babies, Children, Families, Modeling, Personality, Graduation, Weddings and Celebrations of Life………... My new adventures has been creating fun dress up shoots that include Themed Birthday Parties; creating Comp Photos that can be used as invitations, Modeling Comp Cards or gifts and Keepsake Pendants. I believe that everyone should have great photos of themselves that tell a bit about their lives.
