Profile
My name is Erica Fath and I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I have 4 wonderful adult children that bless me continually with their zest for life. I am totally FREE to live TODAY in Peace and Harmony; able to choose How, Where and with Whom I spend my day.
I am having so much joy discovering my purpose in life after 50. God is giving me the desire of my heart, which is to build a community of women and men who love to give back and aspire to impact their world with His love. I love watching my network growing daily.
I love teaching skills, just as computer skills and marketing techniques to newbies as well as coaching and masterminding with others on the same journey.
I love the fun I have nurturing relationships as I build a highly supportive profitable community (MY mastermind group) and as I develop streams of income easily and consistently by helping others reach their goals by supporting them with opportunity, teamwork, education, and mentoring thus touching their life in a positive way every day. I am attracting coachable people serious about changing their lives and to my community.
I am passionate about freedom, especially personal freedoms. I love challenging people, especially women, to examine their beliefs systems as many of us are or have been held hostage by them. I know I was, and today I strive to be FREE and become my own person.
Why am I so committed to this? It’s because I am passionate about reaching out to hurting women and hungry children around the world and as a community we will always be challenged to find opportunities to reach out and touch someone’s life – someone who is not as fortunate as we are. My heart’s desire is to build / support a facility or center that can reach out to abused women and neglected or rejected children and teach them that they are worthy of being loved.
Was I always this confident about who I am? Let me answer that with a BIG NO!!! What brought me to where I am today? I can identify two things … networking and having a mentor.
I have been networking since 1980 and have had some great successes and some incredible failures. But one thing is for sure. I totally believe that networking is the key for the ordinary person to reach extra-ordinary heights. BUT it takes work and lots of it. My successes have provided me with many of the extras of life and sometimes the necessities like when I was too ill to work. My failures have taught me many life lessons, most importantly, to NEVER give up! My journey in networking has allowed me to meet some amazing people, many who have been my close friends for years.
Having a mentor has changed my life. Starting in 1996 with my first mentor, Raymond Aaron and his Monthly Mentor Program and in the past year being mentored by Val Smyth of Mentors in Motion, I have been continually challenged to become more than I was. I have also made some incredible connections. You see, having a mentor or being one, is not only about the things you share or learn, but more importantly, it’s about who you meet in the process – like-minded people.
Raymond Aaron taught me that it’s important to have mentors for different aspects of my life. Say I have fitness issues, I need a personal trainer, or I need help with planning healthy meals, I need to find a dietician as a mentor. I currently have a business-building mentor, Val Smyth, a personal growth mentor, Michael Dlouhy, as well as an Internet marketing mentor, actually two, Steve Watson and Jim Gras.
Mastermind groups are an important part of my day and I believe they are vital to business and personal growth.
A mastermind group, by Napoleon Hill’s definition, is a “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people for the attainment of a definite purpose.” I like to define a Mastermind Group as a synergistic community of supportive colleagues who work together to help each other attain new heights with complete honesty and respect.
Currently I have several main mastermind groups in my life.
Being part of the Coach’s Corner Group is challenging my personal growth by discovering what I truly belief. We are studying one of my favorite books, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and it seems every time we get together I am challenged with how beliefs truly control us for better or for worse… It is so important to know how to recognize if a belief you have serves you or not. I know I was held hostage by many of the beliefs I’ve had since childhood. Most of us are.
As part of the MIM Mastermind group, I am learning how to market. This team uses a marketing system we call “Marketing at the SPEED of THOUGHT” and our slogan is “No Networker Left Behind”. Here I’ve learnt how to create my own leads, build websites, write in HTML, how to use bulk mailers responsibly & spam free, and search engine optimization. If you are serious about working from home I can help you learn the craft of Internet marketing by introducing you to this system… and it’s free.
Discussing strategy and learning the art of writing is the focus of the Labrats Group. We strategize together to create marketing niches and then work collectively creating web and blog content, as well as writing the articles and ebooks we can use in our individual internet marketing businesses. Sometimes the most important factor is the accountability and even having a deadline to get that article or blog written. I enjoy having my writings critiqued prior to publishing them. I used to say Internet marketing was “all Greek to me” but now I even understand the basic “Greek”.
Learning how to create a network online is a bit different than doing it offline. That's why I love masterminding with the brilliant folks at iWomen as they develop the Verbal Networking concept. It's just so helpful having a group that can discuss ideas and concepts as well as critique what we've come up with. I know that this group is going to make a big impact on all those that conenct with it. Reaching out to women is part of my purpose, and I love masterminding with Answers 4 Women. Although still a small group of women, the vision of the leaders is one I can identify with and immediately knew I needed to be a part of. Some of the recent studies we have completed connecting globally to women of the same mind have really strengthened my faith and helped me sharpen my vision and purpose for living with enthusiasm after 50!
You know, it's very likely that we're heading down the same road - As Robert Frost wrote those years ago:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
Let's walk together. I much prefer the companionship, as the road to success can be rather lonely as it's the less traveled road. By journeying together we can share victories and successes of marketing as well as warn each other of the potholes and underbrush in the road ahead. When the days get long and you get weary, connect with me and I'll be there to help you up and keep you going. I'm on that road less traveled. Are you?
