SARASOTA ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON - JOHN GARCIA, MD
John Garcia, MD is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon with a strong background in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine. His experience also includes extensive Joint Replacement of the hips, knees and shoulders as well as fracture care at a trauma center.
He has presented cases to the St. Louis Orthopedic Society regarding topics such as "Scapular Winging with Pectoralis Transfer" and "Infected Total Elbow Arthroplasty."
He is board certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas and completed his residency in Orthopedic surgery at St. Louis University.
Dr. Garcia has illustrated a strong allegiance to the United States attending the United States Military Academy (West Point) where he was honored with the Superintendent's Award for outstanding academic and military achievement. He went on to serve in the ARMY during Desert Storm where he earned the Bronze Star Medal for exceptional service and was also recognized with the prestigious ARMY Commendation Medal for meritorious service.
