Who Is This Homespun Me?
In trying to decide how best to present ourselves to you, I thought of those cute little knock-knock jokes tossed around by the grandchildren.
Knock, knock.
Who's there? Dorothy.
Dorothy, who?
That's a hard question to condense into an introductory paragraph. Especially when this first impression is the deciding factor in whether we'll have further contact.
My B.S. degree in Business and Master's degree in Educational Psychology was helpful in getting and keeping employment over the years. But, I've found that life itself is the greatest educator of all.
I'm very much 'into' the Internet. Internet marketing has become an interesting experiment.
As a former teacher I continue to be dedicated to teaching everybody anything I happen to know which is a little about a lot of stuff and a lot about not much of nothing; but, what I know, I really know. One of these 'I know' things is that you are not what you do but that you do what you have to do to be you.
Confused? Me, too, at times. But my homespun opinions are well earned and that was one of them. Another is that you should play -- a lot. Have fun and enjoy every minute of this life as it passes.
I have an appreciation for words. Words mean things. Words cause things to happen. Words hurt or heal. Words encourage or hinder progress. Words create wars or bring about peace. The idea that the pen is mightier than the sword rings true to me.
A word creates an idea.
An idea creates thought.
Thought creates a plan.
A plan creates action.
Action creates effort.
Effort creates success.
Success creates sharing.
Sharing creates a Better World.
A Better World is our legacy.
One of my all time favorite words is Homespun. I like Homespun because I am Homespun. I have Homespun Ways. That's who I am.
