| Dhrubodhi Mukherjee works as an Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Dr. Mukherjee’s research focuses on using the social network perspective in exploring diverse social science research areas including social capital, community engagements, and influence of Internet in day to day life, international social work and policy making. Dr. Mukherjee recently (2006) completed his PhD from University of South Carolina, Columbia. His doctoral thesis titled “Influence of Internet on Social Capital” explored the impact of online participation on social trust, civic participation and emotional ties. Dr. Mukherjee is an active member of Council of Social Work Education and Society of Social Work Research in the USA. He has presented research papers in national and International conferences. Dr. Mukherjee obtained his Masters in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India and earned his Bachelors from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He teaches graduate and undergraduate level classes on quantitative research methods, statistical analysis for social workers and social sciences theories in applied social work.
