Profile
| Above all a hands-on person with practical experience, Alex Bonnieux is a young specialist who is passionate about decorative arts. After studying law, he continued in Art History in Bourgogne then to Paris where he obtained a scholarship allowing him to attend the Christie’s Diploma Class. The following year the Director of the school entrusted him to supervise the 17th and 18th Century Furniture class. Not only did this help him to deepen his technical know-how but more importantly it allowed him to meet the major actors of the Parisian art market. At the same time, he did an internship in the Christie’s Furniture Department where he had the chance to participate, in particularly while doing research at the National Archives, in the prestigious year end sale (December 2004). Since, he has devoted his time to his passion which he communicates through his conferencing and reserch activities. Still in collaboration with Christie’s, he is currently responsibility for constituting a material-library and he finds his equilibrium between his theoretic research and his artistic activities.
