I joined the US Marine Corps straight out of high school and was active duty for four years working with compters. Upon leaving the Marine Corps I went to work for International Network Services ("INS") to teach the field engineers computer security, INS was later acquired by Lucent Technologies.
After working at Lucent for a period of time I left to work at a Boston-based startup called Athena Security. At Athena I was responsible for designing, developing and implementing new services and products. I worked closely with marketing, sales and engineering to accomplish this task.
Much of my time at Athena was spent on the road training partners how to sell security in general and scouting out new opportunities for Athena to develop. Due to some internal problems and disputes with our funders Athena was shut down and a small group went to form Mishré.
Over the years Mishré was involved in the Regional Electronic And Computer Crimes ("REACCT") taskforce, a group composed of law enforcement, educational, commercial and legal personnel. Mishré still exists but it being closed due to my recent Army mobilization and other members needing to move on for personal reasons.
I am currently living in the Milwaukee, WI Metro and am actively involved in the OpenID specification.
