| Bret Payne brings a diverse academic and business background to Wax Studios as our Founding Partner-President/Operations of. He has over 25 years experience working with computers and technology. At UCLA in the 1980’s he was apart of the early web development era. There he focused on fostering new ventures ranging from wireless, to nanotechnology. During his tenure at UCLA, Bret help raise start up capital for emerging companies via Bret’s also has a strong operational background. He has started two companies –a California based-web design and hosting firm 21st Century Networks based on T-1 hosting provider along with the partners at Level3 in Los Angeles He also built a revolutionary concept company, building mini personal computers called Blue Orb. Bret’s received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of California at Los Angeles minored in Marketing and Management. He also attended Art Center of Design in Pasadena with a certificate in design. Previous work included childhood television and acting, and a commercial career in film He also is trained in Lean Management and is Certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
